Your GDN has a set term. Before it ends, you'll need to renew through TxDMV's licensing system.
What renewal involves
Under 43 TAC §215.133, a GDN holder renewing must verify current license information, provide information and documents for any new requirements or changes, and pay required fees, including any outstanding civil penalties under a final order.
Education at renewal
TxDMV's education requirement also applied to certain renewal applicants licensed less than 10 years as of September 1, 2019. It's one-time; once completed, you don't retake it.
